Waiting For Breakthrough.

Waiting for a breakthrough is one of the most challenging aspects of our relationship with God. You pray and wait, pray and wait, pray and wait but results do not come. You begin to ask yourself so much questions is God hearing my prayers, when will my breakthrough come, how come other people have their breakthroughs already? So many negative thoughts go through your head as you wait for that big breakthrough and honestly it can be discouraging.

While waiting for breakthrough remember

1. Comfort and protection comes from God.
Psalm 23: 1-4 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul;He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
  • In the moments when you feel discouraged look to God for comfort.
2. God gives you strength to endure and carry on.
Psalm 46: 1-2 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.
  • God gives you the strength to endure the process of waiting for the breakthrough, for His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
3. The Lord gives you joy.
Psalm 126: 5-6 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy carrying sheaves with them.
  • The tears you have sowed in waiting will produce a harvest.
4. Restoration comes from God.
1 Peter 5: 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
  • God can take your greatest pain and turn it into your life’s message.
  • The time of waiting for a breakthrough can feel long but remember nothing is ever wasted with God.
5. God reminds you of the hope that you have in Him
Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
  • Don’t put hope in things of the world.
  • No matter what happens in this world I have hope in God.

May your faith be strengthened this week as you wait for your breakthrough.
