I am LOOOOOOVING the series Pastor Brian is currently teaching on at church You Are The One which also happens to be the theme for the year. I am going to continue to share more on this series.
When God’s hand is upon you….
It Is Obvious.
When God’s hand is upon something or someone, it is so obvious, there is absolutely no doubt about that. There are many examples in the Bible where it was obvious the hand of God was upon that person. For example Job, no matter what life threw his way, God’s hand was upon him because the affliction did not destroy him. Job 1:9-10 “ So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”
It Defies Logic And Breaks The Rules.
No-one can explain your life when God’s hand is upon you. It will defy the critics who may look at your life and conclude that no good thing can come from you BUT the hand of God changes everything. Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
It Comes With No Striving.
When God’s hand is upon you, you do not have to strive to be someone or strive to do certain things so that you can accepted by Him. NO ! Who you are is enough before God, He cannot possibly love you any less than He loves you. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son so that whomsoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It Is Remarkable For Its Resilience.
When God’s hand is upon you, you keep bouncing back from life’s setbacks. You keep moving forward regardless of what happens. Micah 7: 8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.
It Will Be Fruitful.
Whatever God has His hands on, it is fruitful. It grows and it multiplies. Exodus 1:18-20 So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, “Why have you done this thing, and saved the male children alive?” And the midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; for they are lively and give birth before the midwives come to them.” Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty.
