I am protected always

Last week i heard the heart breaking story of a teenage girl who was stabbed and killed in a park in a suburb close to where i live. Anyone who knows me knows i love to take walks in the park as part of my exercise routine. As i got off the tram i kept replaying the words i had read earlier in the day “parks are no longer safe for women.” I won’t lie i began to panic. I thought to myself that’s it, i’m not going to take any walks in the park anymore, i’m no longer safe but at the same time the Holy Spirit in another voice said “He will send His angels to guard you.” Right there in the middle of the street, the Holy Spirit convicted me and i was like woah!!!!
Psalm 91:9-13

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Yes the police might have made that statement but i am a child of God therefore i am protected at all times. I have angels that are on assignment to guard me, to make sure no harm falls on me. This week don’t allow the violence in the world to get to you, YOU ARE PROTECTED!

  1. This is awesome! Don’t you know i have been reading and mediating on this bible chapter the past few days! And my friend was the one who heard it at her church and suggested that i read it so i did. 🙂 Now here it is again. And just yesterday there was a shooting in my neighborhood and the streets were blocked off with 1 person dead and 3 hurt. They never did catch the guy. I have been praying to God about my safety a lot lately. As a woman, it’s easy to fear harm around every corner. I decided i can’t live everyday scared because that’s not living, that’s misery. I’m glad this blog was confirmation of that.

    1. It is so easy not to worry feel scared in this world we live in but we find comfort knowing the Lord sends His angels concerning our lives to guard our lives and that alone is reason to rejoice knowing that we are protected always!!!
