Beyond the hills to where our help comes from

The other day i lay in bed pondering on what my declaration would be for 2015. Whilst i follow whatever theme the church i attend has for the year, i like to have my own declaration. In 2013 it was Psalm 65:11You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. Last year it was Isaiah 45:2-3 I will go before you And make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.  I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.  I was starting to worry assuming that i was “closed” to what God was saying to me regarding 2015. There’s a song that’s been on my mind the last couple of days and today i finally listened to it and said yes that’s MY declaration for 2015- PSALM 121.

 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—psalm-121
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
