It’s been a while since i’ve sat down to blog, it’s been a combination of laziness and honestly having no time to actually sit down and share my thoughts with the world. Last week friday i took a walk in the park behind my house. It’s a very simple basic park anyway as i’m walking the first thing i notice is how beautiful the grass looked-it was sooooo beautiful and green in comparison to other times of the year. It is currently winter here in Melbourne, on most days it is extremely cold and raining, generally that depressing weather. What particularly drew my attention to the grass is the fact that when the sun is out during the other seasons of the year, the grass never looks good at all, in fact it looks dead well owing to the very high temperatures we experience over here in Melbourne. Here we are in winter and the grass is standing out from all the gloom and depressing weather. Lesson i took from that “there’s beauty in every season.”
Lesson number two. As i was walking back to my house, i noticed in the distance someone walking their dog and i immediately increased my pace so that i could turn onto my road before they came anywhere close to me. I made it to my road before the person and their dog were anywhere near me. As i turned back, to my surprise there was someone walking behind me with their dog. I panicked a little because of my fear of dogs. Then i started laughing at myself because i realised i had probably walked all the way home with this person and dog behind me but i did not once pick it up. Lesson from that “what lies behind you does not concern you, keep walking.” Isaiah 43:18 Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past.
